This stool is in the same design as the Barcelona armchair by Bauhaus designer Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.

He designed the Barcelona stool to match the Barcelona armchair for the German pavilion at the 1929 World's Fair in Barcelona. The Barcelona furniture was dedicated to the reception of the Spanish royal couple.
