The famous Bauhaus designer Eero Saarinen, who was experimenting with new, unusual shapes, designed in 1956 this trumpet-shaped base. This impressing base and the matching oval-shaped upper surface of Carrara marble gives the work special Balanc and a slim profile. The table provides an elegancce and the slender impression.
Bauhaus designer Eero Saarinen's aim was to create a furniture in one piece. And so arose his Tulip Series. Tables and chairs that resemble the shape of tulips. Originally, he wanted to use plastic, but finally the base were made of cast aluminum and painted. The tulip chairs along with the tulip tables form stylish dining or seating areas.
This Bauhaus stool Tulip 543 by Eero Saarinen can be used not only individually, it is also a perfect complement to all the Tulip series. It consists of one piece. For the foot provided plastic material was that time not available - so Saarinen chose the lacquered cast aluminium.
