Gerrit Thomas Rietveld (* 24. June 1888 in Utrecht; † 25. June 1964. Was a Dutch architect and designer. With the artist group De Stijl, he became one of the master carpenters of the master carpenter. The development of his red-blue chair, which is characterized by strict geometry and the reduction of the color on the primary colors, introduced genus-breaking aesthetics.
