Hugo Alvar Henrik Aalto (born February 3, 1898 in Kuortane, Finland; † 11 May 1976 in Helsinki, Finland) was a Finnish architect and designer. Alvar Aalto was known for its special concepts in the field of organic building. He was influenced by the German Werkbund and Bauhaus. He sought in terms of organic architecture to a close relationship between people and environment.
