Tulip table round ø 120 by Eero Saarinen 1956
The Tulip table is the first one-legged table in furniture history. The famous Bauhaus designer Eero Saarinen designed it in the 1950s. His plan was to do something about the boring and ugly four-legged tables. He used an aluminum pillar base to provide a clear design and as a table top he chose different shape (round, or ovale) and used material - laminate, or marble.
The result is the elegant Saarinen tulip tables, whose sweeping shape creates a sophisticated impression in all environments.
Of course, matching tulip chairs are also available for these impressive tulip tables.
