Charles Eames began developing the so-called Aluminum Group in 1955.
As a guideline, it was necessary to develop a chair that is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Thus, after three years of work, the first prototypes of the "Leisure Group" were created. Only in 1969 did the variants with additional padded bags (soft pad).
The chairs of the Aluminum Group are probably the best-known office chairs in the world. In many conference rooms, they have become indispensable.
