(* 11. February 11, 1902 in Copenhagen, † March 24, 1971) is considered the most important international architect and designer of Denmark in the 20th century. His design works were influenced by Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier and the Bauhaus and his designs followed the style of functionalism. He began work at the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen in 1957. At the city's first skyscraper, all the details were designed by Jacobsen himself, from the building to the textiles to the cutlery of the restaurant. Some of his famous furniture designs, such as egg and swan, come from the 1960 completed SAS project. His work reflects his perfectionism. He should have worked almost permanently. Recovery was for him to be creative in other areas.
